NCI-Frederick—Fort Detrick Mentoring Day; Fall 2006
Eighteen students, ages 18 to 21, from the Frederick community, toured facilities at Fort Detrick and NCI-Frederick in the fall of 2006. The objective was to familiarize them with the work done here. The students toured several USAMRIID laboratories, including a Biosafety Level 4 patient containment suite, an insectarium, and an aerosol testing area. At NCI-Frederick, they toured the Scientific Library, Charles River Laboratories, the warehouse and mail room, and the NCI-Frederick Café.
